Sam for Arrangers

Arranging travel for dozens (or even hundreds) of people can be a daunting task. There are just so many details to take into account! Sam helps Travel Managers or anyone fulfilling this role (office managers, travel arrangers, meeting organizers...) to take better care of their travelers by providing an easy access to their travel information, as well as notifications for important events like flight cancellations, delays or security alerts.

How does it work?

It's easy. Both traveler and manager must be Sam users. Once one of them is designated an arranger, he or she will have access to the travel itinerary of the other user (the traveler) right in Sam. No other separate app is needed: all the information is displayed in Sam. The arranger will also receive the most relevant notifications, such as:

  • Delays over 60 minutes
  • Cancellations
  • Security alerts affecting the traveler

View your traveler's itinerary. The standard itinerary view will change and a list of travelers will appear instead; you can still have access to your own trips as usual.

How to activate the feature

There are two conditions that must be met before someone can use it: the feature must be activated in Agentport (inside the 'Mobile' tab) and the traveler - arranger relationship must be established.

  • Set up the relationship in Agentport. Look for the "Arrangers" tab in the user's profile (not the company's). They are interdependent, so it's enough to add either one or the other; if you edit the traveller's profile to add an arranger, that same traveller will appear in the arranger's profile. Note: this setting is not exclusive to Sam but will be used across all the digital platforms, like HUB.
  • Activate the feature in the Mobile tab. In the company's Agentport profile, go to the "Mobile" tab and then the "Travel arrangers" block. Select the specific functionalities you want to activate: traveler's itineraries and traveler's notifications.

The changes may take a few minutes to apply; if after that the arranger is still unable to see his or her travellers in the app, the travellers should log out and log in again. If you are still experiencing problems, get in touch with us at sam@meetsam.io
